Destiny Christian Elementary recognizes that parents have a choice when making a decision on where to send their child to school. Our Elementary curriculum aligns National and California State Common Core Standards with the Core Knowledge Sequence and is taught by a qualified teacher. Our student-teacher ratio of 1:15 is much lower than local public and private schools in our area. Children receive personal instruction in reading and writing, as well as math, geography, science, art, and music.

We believe that elementary students learn best by experiencing and participating in their learning so hands-on activities play a central role in the classroom. Our Purposeful Design Bible curriculum adds a spiritual component to the classroom that fosters cooperation, compassion, and character. Children learn about God’s word and His world, His personal love for them, and how to share His love with others. Our goal is to foster not only a love for God but also a love for books and reading. This sets a firm foundation for study skills that will follow students as they grow.

Our elementary teachers use the Core Knowledge Sequence as the basis of their lesson plans. The curriculum includes ACSI’s Purposeful Design Bible Curriculum, McGraw Hill My Math Curriculum, and Core Knowledge Language Arts, History, and Geography Curriculum. Those are supplemented with Houghton Mifflin Reading, Alpha Friends phonics, Handwriting without Tears, and hands-on Science lessons.

Common Core Standards for each grade level are covered through our comprehensive approach to instruction.

A low teacher to student ratio ensures that your child will receive personal attention and a more individualized learning plan. Our class capacity is 15 students with one qualified teacher and one assistant teacher who is rotated between the classrooms as needed.
